FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I put my membership on hold for this summer? There is not an option to defer, hold or pause a membership. If you resign or leave the Club, you are able to return in a future year. You would apply for membership when you want to return and go through the application process. As we process your application to return, we search our records to confirm you had been a member in the past. There will be a rejoin fee due when you return. Currently, it’s $100 (subject to change). The fee is per break in membership, not per year you were away. The rejoin fee permits you to retain credit for the prior years of membership towards your 21+ Year membership and credit initiation dues already paid at the time you left (so you don’t pay initiation dues twice).

  2. How do I change the email associated with my membership? Please send us an email to [email protected] with your member number, old email and new email. You will receive confirmation by email when your account has been updated.

  3. I babysit my grandkids over the summer. I can’t figure out how to register them for swim team, swim lessons, synchro or youth tennis. These programs are for kids who live in a member’s home. Kids you babysit, even if you are related to them, are not eligible unless the kids’ parents are a member of FST.
  4. My kids have moved out of state. Can’t I just leave them on my account as living in my home? No, if someone has moved out of your home, they must be removed from your account. For family and 21+ members, someone listed on your membership is required to be living in your home unless they are a kid you babysit (without the kid’s parents at the Club) or a babysitter of your kids (when you, the parent/legal guardian is not at the Club). In this instance, since they now live out of state, they will qualify for a free out of town guest pass when they do visit the Club, but as your guest, you will need to be at the Club while your guests are at the Club.

  5. I own two houses. One is my home. My kid lives in the other house. I can include my kid on my membership since I own both houses, right? No, a family and 21+ membership includes only the people who live in your home/primary residence. Additional properties you may own, whether you charge rent or not, are not included in your membership. In this situation, your kid will either need a guest pass when they come with you to the Club or they will need to apply for their own membership. The Club reserves the right to ask for proof of residency for any child or adult listed on your account.

  6. How do I add/remove someone to my account (kid/babysitter)? Log into your member account. On the “Manage Account” screen, there’s a “Member” section. To add someone, click on the 3 dots in this section to add a member. Provide the information. If the person you are adding is an adult who lives in your home (regardless of relationship), add them as an adult. If they are a minor who lives in your home (regardless of relationship) add them as a child. There is an option to add someone as a babysitter who is permitted to bring your kids when no adults on the account are at the club. There is an option to add a kid who you are hired to babysit (and are bringing the kid without their parent/guardian at the club). Save.  The club reserves the right to request proof of residency for adults and kids listed on your account. To remove someone, click on the 3 dots next to the name of who you wish to remove. Select delete.
  7. I’m married (or have a significant other who lives with me). The single membership doesn’t seem to fit in my circumstance since we will usually be at the Club together, but neither does a family membership since we do not have kids and are not a family. What do I do? While our membership types are called “single” and “family”, a family membership includes anyone who lives in your home regardless of age or legal relationship. In this situation, a family membership is appropriate.

  8. I have a family membership, but I realized that last summer I was the only one who came to the Club for the whole summer. Can I change to a single membership? Yes, you can change your membership type between family and single memberships. See additional information in the question/answer below on how to do this. After changing to a single membership, everyone in your household will be removed from your account. When you bring someone to the Club, you will need a guest pass for them, unless they qualify as an out of town guest.

  9. I am trying to change my membership from a family to single (or single to family). How do I do this?If you are changing from a family to a single membership, please send us an email to [email protected] with your member number and request the change in membership. We will remove every person currently listed on your account and change your membership type from family to single. You will receive confirmation by email when your account has been updated. If you are changing from a single to a family membership, please email a request to be added to the waitlist for a family membership. You will be added to the waitlist based on the date/time of your email. When you reach the top of the waitlist and a family membership opens up for you, we will update your account from single to family. If you have paid for a single membership at the time a family membership opens up for you, we will apply the payment for the single membership to your new family membership. You will receive confirmation by email when your account has been updated.

  10. Who is included in my membership?

Single membership – only you as the named member is included. Any person you bring with you to the Club requires a guest pass. A single membership is non-transferrable – no exceptions. If you have kids living in your home, they are not eligible to participate in our swim team, synchro, youth tennis, or swim lesson programs.

Family and 21+ memberships –

      • All people who live in your home are included in your membership. This includes adults and children regardless of their age or legal relationship to you.
      • When someone moves out of your home, they need to be removed from your account.
      • People who qualify to be included in your membership must be individually named as a member on your account prior to their visit.
      • The Club reserves the right to request documentation for proof of residency.
      • Babysitters are included IF the babysitter will bring your kids to the Club AND the adults included in your membership are not on the Club grounds. While you may list multiple babysitters on your account, only one babysitter may bring your kid(s) to the Club at any time. The babysitter must be named as a member on your account PRIOR to their visit to the Club. They will check in with your member number to verify they are listed as a babysitter on your account.
      • If you bring a babysitter to the Club with you (an adult on the membership), you will need a guest pass for the babysitter.
      • A kid you babysit is included IF they are named on your account PRIOR to their visit AND their parent/guardian is not on the Club grounds. If their parent/guardian is on the Club grounds, both the kid and parent/guardian need a guest pass.
